Between Modernization Theory and Dependency Theory which do you think is more acceptable for having global economic inequality?

As they say, it’s not your fault if you were born poor, but it’s your fault when you die poor. But being poor doesn't have many chances or opportunities on their journey to help themselves with. However it’s a choice.

These concepts have no middle ground. It’s not being lucky if the person was categorized in Modernization, since they have a talent and ability to improve—it's just as is. It’s their practice to give better vision on their beliefs and values. But we can’t hide the truth that the poor were exploited by wealthy ones. Dependency Theory is a big slap. The opportunities were unreachable. The opportunities are only for the privileged ones. It’s easy to be selfish and take advantage of someone just because they will not be against it. Much worse when those poor don’t know that they were being robbed. As what they see nothing can be robbed from them.

I was thinking about how it went to be said as a choice. Should I ask someone about their life choices that is why ecq was not their choice? They have to go out everyday to earn money and make a living in exchange for the risk of their health? Is that choice makes them poor just because they can’t stock much food at their home?

Poverty doesn’t stop in the concept of money or opportunities. It’s something that you’re deprived with.

Global Economic Inequalities will never stop, there’s no cure on it. There’s no aid for people you will continue to help, they will be dependent on you.

It’s been in ages, we ended up understanding the two kinds of people, but we can’t find how we can put an end.
